Margaret Glover

Screenwriter-Producer

Theatrical drama and films were a childhood love for Margie beginning with the Gene Autry movies that could be seen for a dime at the Capitol Theater in Ames, Iowa. Margie learned behind the scene and on-stage elements of theater in high school and college productions, then reinforced that with five years in Los Angeles in the early 80's.  She took writing classes at UCLA and learned Comedy writing  from Danny Simon and Gene Mitchener.   She attended many seminars to add depth to her vision, such as The Whole Picture by Richard Walter, Producing Independent Films at the American Film Institute in L.A.  and the Austin, Texas Film Festival and Screenwriting Conferences. During the late 80's and well into the 90's Margie traveled extensively observing the human condition around the world. You can have a glimpse of that part of Margie's life here.  Margie is a past member of The Indiana Filmmakers Network.  She is currently a member of Southern Ohio Film Association (SOFA.) She is a multi year volunteer with the Heartland Film Festival. Margie, with the assistance of John Blankenship, has taken the screenplay of The Model Builder from a beginning in the 80's to its status today as a future family friendly feature film.

Great News!

The Model Builder script has been approved by the Dove Foundation, an organization that champions the Family Film.

The reviewer's comments:

"This movie script is a great story of a child being persistent in his dreams. Despite strong opposition from his father, young Andy Kirkland never gives up. The writing for this film is very good; there were some twists toward the end I didn't foresee. There are many scenes which I feel have much potential to be unforgettable. Also, there is a lot of good information regarding model airplanes, including stuff which a non-enthusiast would enjoy. "

"This movie script is Dove approved. There are scenes which may bother small children, such as a plane crash where a man dies, and an automobile accident where a man is injured. Included is a scene in which a man is drinking and driving, but he suffers the consequences of wrecking that vehicle. I think this movie, once produced, will be very entertaining, especially for families."
